ABOUT CAYMAN ISLANDS
The Cayman Islands are made up of three lush islands, Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman; all surrounded by some of the bluest water in the world. Part of the British West Indies, the Cayman Islands are nestled approximately 200 miles south of Cuba. There is plenty of snorkeling, diving, sailing and boating to be done on all three of the islands. Grand Cayman is the largest and most populated of the three islands. The island is approximately 22 miles long and anywhere from one to seven miles in width. The population on the island at any given time varies greatly due to the high numbers of tourists occupying the island, but averages approximately 36,000.
ABOUT CAYMANKAI
Often described as "the islands that time forgot", the Cayman Islands are an idyllic setting for a relaxing vacation. If you are looking for glittering nightlife, casinos and white water rapids type excitement, this is NOT the place.
If you are looking for warm, languid afternoons spent sipping a Rum Punch after a morning swim with exotic fish and sealife, then maybe you might want to consider this.
Located 500 miles south of Miami and a mere one hour's plane flight, the Cayman Islands are, for some, the Jewel of the Caribbean. If you live here for a week or a year, you might even consider it the Jewel of the World. For those who have made the delightful discovery of Cayman Kai, we feel we have found the best of the best.
Cayman Kai covers 400 acres, and has more than six miles of beach with very few footprints. It is low density, mostly private homes on half acre sites. Located on the quiet North Side of the island, a 45-minute drive from the busy city of George Town, it has three restaurants, tennis courts, a dive shop, a grocery store nearby and some of the World's finest Neighbours. Ferry service is available several times a day from Rum Point and from the Kaibo, across The North Sound, to the faster paced side of the island in the Seven Mile Beach area
FLIGHT TO CAYMAN ISLANDS

IMMIGRATION
On your trip to the Cayman Islands, you may be planning to SCUBA or snorkel, explore the sights, and/or see friends and family or for vacations. Keep in mind that all visitors should land in the Islands with a return ticket and enough money to finance their stay.
US and Canadian citizens, traveling directly to the Cayman Islands from the US and Canada, need only proof of citizenship for entry, such as a passport or an official birth certificate (not a copy), plus photo identification (such as a driver’s licence). They do not need visas.
People from some countries do not require a visa to visit the Cayman Islands.
This list is for guidance only. Visa requirements can change suddenly, without prior notice. Travel agents are knowledgeable about visa requirements, but the only authority is the Cayman Islands Immigration Department, represented throughout the world by British embassies and consulates.
Citizens of countries not mentioned here should contact the nearest British Embassy or consulate and ask about the requirements for visitor entry into the Cayman Islands.
Visitors are normally permitted to enter and remain for up to one month. This period may be extended; applications for an extension must be made to the Immigration Department.
It is against the law to work in the Cayman Islands without a work permit. Visitors found working are arrested, tried in court and if found guilty, fined and deported.
GROCERIES
If you have ever been into a large US or Canadian store, Cayman’s grocery stores are very similar. They carry most major US and Canadian brands, as well as USDA certified meats, UK brands such as Waitrose, lots of fresh fish, shellfish and a variety of vegetables and fruit. Finding organic food, especially vegetables and fruit, can be difficult as all fresh produce has to travel so far to get here.
