You are welcome to go and visit the cats next door and see for yourself how it works. They are also very happy to receive any donations of cat food or cash to buy it.

BICYCLES:
Ask the Manager if you want to rent to bike around or go to Starfish point is just 1 mile away so an ideal trip on the bike. There are no facilities so pack the cooler bag or the picnic basket and have a picnic while enjoying the starfish and the tranquility.
RESTAURANTS:
There are lots of great restaurants in Cayman. Check out trip advisor for more information and the Good Taste book for sample menus, directions and pricing – you will be spoil for choice – also available online at www.caymangoodtaste.com
In the immediate area there is the Rum Point Club next door which is nice but quite expensive for dinner. The beach bar, the Wreck is much more inexpensive – website is www.rumpointclub.com. There is also upstairs at Kaibo just over a mile away but again it can be quite expensive but again the beach bar is a less expensive alternative and a fun spot for watching the boats come in and out. They serve great pizza right on the beach. Check out the website at www.kaibo.ky. They also have a coffee shop which opens early in the morning so ideal for breakfast for great coffee and breakfast pastries.
As a general rule, lunch is a much better deal than dinner in Cayman so you may consider having breakfast at home – lunch out and dinner at home to keep to your budget. The beach bar next door is very nice as is the Kaibo beach bar and considerably less expensive than their formal restaurants. You also don’t have to dress up for them which may appeal to you, you are on vacation after all! see Restaurant links in the website
SUPERMARKETS:
Cayman is expensive and everything is imported so expect sticker shock at the supermarket. However, that said there are farmers market options and the quality of food here is very good.
The main supermarkets are (Check List of Groceries in the website)
REDSAIL SPORTS CENTERS:
There is a Red Sail Sports shop next door which offer various trips including Stingray City right from their beach. Its well worth checking it out and the sunset cruise is a lovely evening. There is also a store which carries some nice souvenirs and useful beach items. Their website is www.redsailcayman.com.
Snorkelling and Diving in Cayman
With respect to snorkeling sites the area right in front of the retreat complex is a marine park and therefore great for snorkeling. The water is shallow and typically calm. There is a little current so we suggest that you enter the water a bit down from the condo complex at Cayman Kai Public Beach and let the current drift you back to the condo while you enjoy the fish - you're on vacation so not supposed to be working too hard. We have water noodles in the condo too so you can stick them under your arm and just drift along the surface of the water.
STARFISH POINTE:
Just 1 mile from the condo by the Kaibo Yacht club you will find starfish point - just down to the end of the road that the Kaibo Yacht club is on. Loads of pretty star fish right at the water's edge.
